My partner and I were given the task of designing graduate housing for Pratt Institute. We designed a modular system to provide 152 beds for graduate students. There are two styles of rooms, apartment style suites, and traditional dorm style units.
The ground floor contains space for a gallery, where students can display their work. The facade on the ground level creates a space for graffiti art, while the facade of the upper levels is a vertical shading system, which covers balconies.
